The Infrastructure and Works department reports that work is resuming on Avenida Miraflores, in San Luis de Sabinillas.
The councillor for this area, Diego José Jiménez, explained the problems affecting the complete remodelling of this busy road. The project has been modified owing to changes to a number of technical specifications, and the bureaucratic process has slowed its execution.
Jiménez also detailed the extensive work carried out beneath the avenue, where the capacity to drain rainwater into the sea has been increased sevenfold, improving safety in this area in the event of storms with heavy rain.
Work on Avenida Miraflores will be completed by the end of October.
He also apologised for the inconvenience the works may cause residents.
