A total of 9,000 square metres of green and recreational space will be created on the plot next to the Maicandil school, turning it into a new park with the aim of expanding the green spaces of the municipality. The new park will include the following areas:
Cycle lane: a 2.00-metre-wide gravel lane with a length of 500 linear metres, laid out as a circuit across the plot.
Recreational area: covering 150.40 square metres, it will have picnic tables and chairs, and sail-type pergolas supported on metal pillars will be installed.
Landscaping: the design proposes rows of trees along the edges of the cycle lanes, as well as groups of trees in the central areas of topsoil. On the rectangular northern plot, the plan is to clear the scrub and plant trees.
Both the mayor and head of urban planning, Jose Manuel Fernández, and the Infrastructure and Works councillor, Agustín Vargas, have expressed their satisfaction at increasing the municipality’s green areas.
