Vargas pledges to resolve the bus shelter issue before the start of the school year

-

Agustín Vargas, the municipality’s current councillor for public works, has publicly pledged through RTV Manilva to carry out various improvement works on all the bus shelters where children wait for the bus before the start of the next school year.

After several years of complaints from users, it now seems that the existing agreement with the company in charge of the advertising rights for these structures will see that company install the shelters free of charge and at no cost to the municipal coffers.

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance will be somewhat different, as until now it has been null or non-existent, to the point that last year two of these shelters, the one at Puerto de la Duquesa and the one at the Guardia Civil barracks, literally collapsed because of their poor condition, fortunately without any personal injury. Vargas has inspected each of them together with the municipal technicians, and various options are being studied for providing a cleaning and maintenance service for all of this equipment, in order to keep improving this service for residents.
