Urban development project in the Maicandil area unblocked

-

Manilva Town Hall has reached an agreement with the company Iberus Capital that unblocks an urban development project stalled for more than a decade and paves the way for the construction of the new secondary school.

This agreement, which provides for the transfer of a plot of 28,000 square metres next to the Las Viñas secondary school, will finally allow the long-awaited school to be built, a demand from local residents that had gone unanswered for years. The lack of adequate access had until now been the main obstacle to carrying out the project, as confirmed by a report from the Junta de Andalucía.

The agreement includes the refurbishment of the abandoned structures at Maicandil, where more than 250 homes with one, two, three and four bedrooms will be built. This initiative will not only revitalise a run-down area, but will also help to increase the supply of housing in the municipality.
