The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, together with the councillors for Training and Employment Promotion, Marcos Ruiz, and for Youth, Daniel Muñoz, have visited in recent days the university students who are carrying out their work placements in different areas of the Town Hall.

24 young people, spread across the months of July and August, have the opportunity to complete paid work placements while also providing a service to the public.

This municipal initiative, which is now in its fifth year, represents a very important opportunity for young people.

The students are carrying out their work in line with the job requirements of their university studies as far as possible, as Marcos Ruiz explained. He added that efforts will continue to improve the programme, and encouraged young people to apply for a place in the call that opens in April.

The university students said they were very satisfied with the experience and highlighted what they are learning from it.

This initiative serves several aims: on the one hand, it introduces these students, sometimes for the first time, to the world of work, bringing them closer to the areas in which they will have to operate in the future; on the other, it provides financial support that helps them continue with their studies.
