The mayor of Manilva and the councillor for Human Resources, Infrastructure and Public Works handed out the new work clothing and protective equipment to the staff of the Public Works department early this morning.

The kit consists of protective gloves and shoes, trousers, summer and winter polo shirts, as well as trousers, all with reflective markings so that residents can easily identify them.

As the town’s mayor, Mario Jiménez, explained, this uniform, which will protect our municipal workers, will shortly be given to other areas such as cleaning, gardens and beaches.

Councillor Diego José Jiménez, for his part, highlighted the importance of these areas having their usual work clothing, which will be distributed over the course of these two years until the end of the contract with the local company that has been appointed as the service provider following a public tender.
