Training, updating and practice for the Local Police

-

The Manilva Local Police force is taking part this week in its annual shooting practice, an essential activity for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of its officers. The training, delivered by a specialist instructor, combines a theoretical element covering legal and regulatory updates with practical shooting exercises.

In small groups, the officers are carrying out this training, the main aim of which is to improve their safety, as well as to correct their stance and grip when firing. The theoretical element covers new laws, decrees and legal developments, as well as State provisions on security, ensuring that officers are up to date with current legislation.

The mayor of Manilva and head of the Public Safety department, José Manuel Fernández, highlighted the importance of this ongoing training. «The training, updating and physical and psychological conditioning of our officers is essential so that they can carry out their work in the best possible conditions, and so that this benefits the safety of our residents,» the councillor said.

These annual shooting practices are a crucial part of the professional development of Local Police officers, allowing them to maintain and refine their skills in handling firearms, a fundamental aspect of their work in protecting and serving the public. The combination of up-to-date theoretical knowledge and practical training ensures that officers are prepared to deal with any situation with the utmost professionalism and safety.
