The building waste accumulated in the public area around the extension works at the San Luis de Sabinillas school, on Perez Galdós street, is finally being cleared by municipal workers, who are removing all the material, rubble from the works and rubbish.

For the moment, it is not known whether the Town Hall has decided to open any disciplinary proceedings over the company’s failure to remove this material, or whether some kind of agreement has been reached for municipal workers to carry out this task once the deadlines have passed.

We remind readers that this extension of the Sabinillas school had an initial budget of 631,151.51€, and that on 11 June 2021 we were informed by press release that «The Town Hall does not want to lose sight of the weekly pace of work, as it wishes to meet the completion deadlines, estimated for the end of August.» This referred to August 2021.

On 6 May, the mayor, Mario Jimenez, ventured, «wearing protective equipment», to show us the inside of these facilities, but it is true that for the moment no official opening date is known either.
