One of the most eagerly awaited moments, especially for the little ones, is arriving this Christmas season. It is the Three Kings Parade (Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos), which will travel through the main streets of the towns and villages of Manilva.
The Fiestas department, headed by Daniel Muñoz, reports that the parade, during which 2,000 kilos of sweets will be handed out, takes place this Wednesday 5 January, starting at the Castillo at 16:00. An hour later, at 17:00, it will go through the streets of San Luis de Sabinillas, before heading to Manilva village at 18:30.
In addition to the floats of Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar, this year there will be two new ones, according to Daniel Muñoz: one with an Alice in Wonderland theme, and the other with Christmas elves.
The Parranda de Manilva and La juventud manilveña will also take part, along with the street performances Toy Story and Tormenta de serpentinas, which will add atmosphere to this charming event.
The organisers ask all residents to comply with the current regulations regarding anti-Covid measures.
The route will be as follows:
Castillo de la Duquesa 16:00
The route will start at the Castillo, specifically at the monument, at 16:00. The procession will continue along the streets of Estanquillo, Plaza Baños Romanos, Miramar, calle Pescadores, San José and avenida Europa.
San Luis de Sabinillas 17:00
In Sabinillas, from 17:00, Gaspar, Melchor and Baltasar will travel along calle José Cadalso and calle Duquesa de Arcos, until reaching the La Noria area.
Manilva 18:30
And in Manilva, the planned route from 18:30 goes along Doctor Álvarez Leiva, calle Mar, Iglesia, calle Cuartel, calle Cruces and calle Jimena, and ends again at calle Mar.
According to the Fiestas department, the parade will hand out 2,000 kilos of sweets, and, as something new, there will be two more floats with different children’s themes.
