The jury of the Premios Manilva, made up of one member from each of the political parties represented in the municipality, along with the associations Paddle Sur, la Alegría de Sabinillas and the town’s Peña Flamenca, has now reached its decision on the different categories covered by the awards.
According to the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez: «These awards were created with the aim of recognising individuals, organisations, communities, clubs or associations whose initiatives or projects are a source of excellence for our municipality, in the areas of solidarity, entrepreneurship and honourability».
The Manilva Solidaria award has gone to local resident Ana Santos, in recognition of her extraordinary work with the Luisana association and in a personal capacity, leading all kinds of social causes that seek to improve the quality of life of our residents.
Manilva Emprende will be presented to Muebles Bernardo Muñoz for its entrepreneurial work over several decades, as a point of reference in our town. It is also recognised as a company that drives progress and boosts the economy, having adapted professionally to the demands of the market for decades.
Manilva Distinguida will go to the clínica la Equina for its professional merits, their international impact and the values with which it approaches its work, which is linked to talent and study.
On 12 October, Hispanic Day, from 12:00 at the Civima, the three awards will be presented at a gala specially prepared for the occasion. Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
