16.- COVID-19 PROTOCOL The race will follow the FAM COVID-19 protocol; link attached ?https://fedamon.es/protocolo-covid19-fam-2/ SPECIAL COVID-19 PREVENTION MEASURES. Due to the public health crisis caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in accordance with the order of 19 June 2020, which adopts preventive public health measures in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia to tackle Covid-19, the following general prevention protocol is COMPULSORY for all participants and attendees (participants, runners, spectators and volunteers).
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS. Face masks are compulsory at all times. Runners will not wear a mask during the competition. They may only remove it once they have crossed the start line and must put it back on when crossing the finish line. Keep a safety distance of 1.5 metres between people. Use hand sanitiser gel on entering any enclosure and/or space (race number collection, start pen, refreshment points, finish).
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY. The most important measure is the individual responsibility of each runner to strictly comply with all the general and event-specific health measures. There is no need to explain the importance of complying with these measures. Therefore, the organisation asks for the greatest awareness and responsibility from EVERYONE so that the race can be enjoyed with the greatest safety guarantees. In addition to these general measures, the following specific measures will be established at each point of the event.
RACE NUMBER COLLECTION. Race numbers will be collected on the day of the race to reduce volunteers’ contact with participants on other days. The runner’s bag will only include essential items such as the commemorative T-shirt. The T-shirt provided by the event organisation will be factory-packed. Changing or trying on sizes will not be allowed at this collection or anywhere else during the event.
START. Face masks are compulsory at all times. The mask may only be removed once the race has started. Runners will have their body temperature taken before entering the start pen. If the thermometer reads more than 37.5 degrees, the runner will not be able to enter the start pen or start the race. Hand sanitiser gel will be available at the entrance to the start pen, and hand disinfection is compulsory. Once inside the start pen, the compulsory equipment check will be carried out and runners will stand on the mark indicated on the ground, keeping a safety distance of 1.5 metres between people at all times. The start pen may only be entered 15 minutes before the assigned start time.
ROUTE/DURING THE RACE. The face mask will form part of the compulsory equipment that must be carried to the finish, where it must be put back on after crossing the finish line. Runners must, as far as possible, keep a safety distance of 5 metres behind another runner at all times.
REFRESHMENT POINTS. In this edition both the refreshment points and the number of products available at them are reduced, to avoid crowding and so that runners stay at them as little as possible. Runners must use hand sanitiser gel on entering the refreshment point area. Runners must put on their mask when entering the refreshment points and only remove it to eat/drink and when leaving the refreshment point. All refreshment point staff will wear masks and gloves. Runners who coincide at the refreshment point must keep a safety distance from one another.
FINISH. Once they have crossed the finish line, runners must put on their mask before entering the finish services area. The finish area will be restricted to the public and to runners who have already finished.
POSSIBILITY OF MODIFICATION These rules may be modified with regard to the COVID-19 protocol in accordance with the regulations issued by the health authorities and the FEDME.
