Manilva has seen COVID-19 positive cases rise again, keeping its active incidence rate above the limit of 1,000 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants) set by the Junta de Andalucía, so the current measures will very probably be tightened to Level 4 Grade 2. The municipality will be reviewed this very Monday by the provincial committee of experts, which will take the decision to close all non-essential commercial activity. The closure would come into force next Wednesday at 00:00 for at least 14 days in an attempt to slow the rate of infections.
The Regional Ministry of Health and Families, in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalucía, has released today’s figures for Monday 25 January, with 52 new positive cases (a new daily record since the start of the pandemic in Manilva), so the number of active cases in the last 14 days rises to 203. The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic is 561 people, with 7 deaths.
The active incidence rate over the last 14 days rises from 1,075.5 to 1,307.3 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants), and remains the highest on the Costa del Sol.
The cumulative incidence rate over the last 7 days rises from 425 to 592.47 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
