More than a hundred motorbikes and scooters gathered in the town this Saturday. The Tourism and Youth departments of Manilva Town Hall held the Sabi Scooter Day, together with the Sabi Scooter Crew association.
The event brought in visitors from all over Spain, thanks to the national Scooter and Lambretta meeting.
As well as the display of vintage motorbikes, all the enthusiasts who attended set off on a route that took them through the different areas of the town and Casares. The event ended with live music, in an excellent atmosphere, on the stage set up in the plaza de Los Maestros in Sabinillas.
Both the delegate Marcos Ruiz, a keen enthusiast who wanted to support the initiative, and the councillors in charge, Eva Galindo and Daniel Muñoz, wished to thank everyone involved in the event for their good work in making it a resounding success.
From 11 in the morning, the route set off from the petrol station in Sabinillas, passing through Casares and Manilva and, as planned, going on to Puerto de la Duquesa and El Castillo.
At around 3 in the afternoon, the participants arrived in Sabinillas, where a stage had been prepared for live music with DJs from all over Spain, as well as three bands from Seville and Madrid.
Several prizes were awarded: to the largest motorcycle club, the youngest scooter rider, the best Vespa and the best Lambretta, as well as to the participant who had travelled the furthest by motorbike to the event.
In addition to the participants in this motorcycle meeting, thanks to the good atmosphere in Sabinillas, many residents also wanted to enjoy everything organised for this initiative.
