As already announced by Daniel Muñoz, councillor for Fiestas, with a sense of responsibility and fully aware that health is the priority in these times, the Town Hall will organise the patron saint festivities and fairs with all safety measures guaranteed.
The great San Juan night, a long-standing tradition in the municipality, will be geared towards families and the youngest members of the community.
In the afternoon there will be a variety of activities aimed at the youngest, with close attention paid to all safety distance and health requirements.
After nightfall, the comedian and monologuist José Luis Calero will perform on a stage set up on the beach.
As there will be no bonfire, the figure that will form part of next year’s design is on display in the plaza del Cali during these days. In addition, images from previous editions will be shown on a screen.
To avoid crowds, there will also be no large orchestra or fireworks.
It will be a calm and peaceful night in which businesses and establishments can gradually recover their activity and one of the most significant nights for the town can be enjoyed with prudence and respect.
We remind you of some rules to bear in mind:
– Hospitality venues must close at 00:00 (according to Junta regulations).
– No chairs will be provided for the audience at the performance, so each person, family or group should bring their own towels, beach chairs, etc., keeping a safe distance between groups.
– Face masks are compulsory.
– Street drinking (botellón) is prohibited.
– The Fiestas department urges compliance with these rules and recommendations and appeals to the individual responsibility of each person.
This model of safe festivities and fairs will set the standard throughout the summer period.
