With the aim of meeting the needs of blind people, improving their quality of life and adapting infrastructure to what they need to ensure their safety, Manilva Town Hall has added an audio system to the traffic lights next to the Sabinillas roundabout.
The Traffic Light for the Blind is a system that assists these people when crossing a street. Afterwards, the nearest traffic light confirms receipt and, finally, when the pedestrian signal changes to green, a sound signal is activated.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the Infrastructure and Works councillor, Diego José Jiménez, have overseen the work and were able to see for themselves the great usefulness of the system.
Municipal officials would like to thank residents for their involvement in everything relating to the improvement of our municipality, and for the ideas and proposals received, which will be taken on board, as has been the case here.
