The Río Manilva road has been undergoing clearance work for the past few days, which will considerably improve visibility on this busy road and, therefore, the safety of all its users.

The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the councillor for Roads and Agriculture, Francisco Becerra, were present to check on the progress of the work, which will be completed within two days.

The work consists of clearing cane and scrub from the roadside within our municipal boundary, from the fairground area as far as the Charca de la Mina.

The mayor highlighted that this is one of the most important projects currently under way, improving the appearance of the area, and that the Town Hall has been receiving congratulations from residents for it.

According to council officials, the work was necessary because this is a very busy road, especially in summer.

Lorries, cars, cyclists and pedestrians will find a much safer route, as the road gains width and visibility thanks to this project, which has the collaboration of the Environment department and the other departments mentioned.

In short, it is a firm commitment by the council to ensure that all roads and tracks are in the best possible condition for the benefit of everyone.
