To build on the skills already acquired and provide the officers of the Manilva Local Police with new tools and techniques, so that they can continue to carry out their work as effectively as they have done until now.
With this in mind, several weeks ago the head of the municipal police, Juan Montero, in coordination with the councillor responsible for public safety and mayor, Mario Jiménez, asked the national MMA and Grappling coach and president of Club Gladius Team Manilva, Ernesto Romero, to offer a refresher course, applying and adapting these techniques to self-defence.
The sessions are being held on 2, 4, 8 and 9 August, with different strategies and methods, taking into account the various scenarios our officers may encounter in their work, so that they can deal with them as effectively as possible and with a satisfactory degree of success, minimising all risks.
The aim is for the Local Police to be as highly qualified as possible, given the level of responsibility and danger involved in the duties they carry out in the difficult task of defending and protecting.
