The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has received the new colonel in charge of the Guardia Civil’s Málaga Command, Roberto Blanes, at Manilva Town Hall.

Accompanied by his commander, the colonel returned the visit to the mayor to discuss important security matters.

The mayor, as he has done since he took charge of the municipality, continues to insist on the need to increase the number of Guardia Civil officers in the municipality and for Manilva to be named a main post.

In addition to the reminder the Town Hall has been sending to all bodies within the Ministry of the Interior, these direct meetings serve to convey the council’s concern on this matter to those at the highest level of responsibility.

The summer season in the municipality was also discussed, when the population triples and, as a result, residents demand more services. The organisation of the summer programme and staffing it with officers to guarantee security was another of the issues discussed.
