The councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, visited the Sabinillas seafront works this morning, to check the good progress of the work of laying the paving, which is currently under way at two different points: the plaza del Cali and the area level with the fishermen’s neighbourhood.

The councillor said that his department is currently redoubling its efforts so that everything is in the best possible condition for the San Juan festival, one of the most eagerly awaited of the year, and that, as the councillor stated, it will be held in its usual place.

The councillor was emphatic in his statements, saying that work will continue until the last minute so that everything is passable for the celebration.

The councillor apologised to the business owners who are being affected by the works, although he pointed out that the project was necessary and that once finished it will benefit everyone.

It should be remembered that the Town Hall has approved a budget allocation to make up, to some extent, for the losses suffered by these businesses located on the seafront.
