Yesterday morning, a road safety education day delivered by members of the Manilva Local Police took place at the San Luis school in Sabinillas.
Infant pupils aged 2, 3 and 4 received this type of training so that, at such an early age, they are aware of how they should move around on the road.
This initiative, which comes from the local security force, has been very well received by those in charge of the school, who did not hesitate to put it into practice.
The school playground was turned this morning into a mini city, with pedestrians, scooters and bicycles, as well as small police officers who took charge of directing the traffic, all under the watchful eye of the local officers.
These activities give the youngest children in the municipality basic notions on how to walk safely in order to avoid any kind of accident, as well as how to use the different vehicles they will soon begin to use.
Both the mayor, Mario Jiménez, who is ultimately responsible for public safety, and the Education councillor, Daniel Muñoz, expressed their thanks to the Local Police for this educational work, which is so necessary for the youngest people in the town.
