These are some of the measures that could come into force in Manilva on Wednesday 27 January for at least 14 days:

Large retail establishments will not be able to open. The exceptions to the closure of shops are retail food outlets, drinks, essential goods and products, health centres, services and establishments, social and social-healthcare services, parapharmacies, veterinary centres or clinics, food markets and hygiene products.

Professional and financial services, newsagents, bookshops and stationers, florists, fuel, garages, repair services and building materials, hardware shops, vehicle inspection stations, tobacconists, technology and telecommunications equipment, pet food, home delivery services, dry cleaners, laundrettes and hairdressers may also open, as may these same market activities carried out outdoors on the public highway or as non-permanent street trading, commonly known as street markets (the latter closed under measures taken by the local Town Hall).

Sport

The opening to the public of conventional sports facilities and sports centres for physical activity that is not outdoors is suspended, except for official professional or non-professional sporting activity.

In addition, non-federated sporting competitions and events of any age category are temporarily suspended, as are federated ones, with the exception of age categories from 16 years up to senior level.

Catering

All catering activities are suspended, with these exceptions:

  • Home delivery services.
  • Restaurants in tourist accommodation establishments.
  • Catering services within health, social-healthcare and social centres and services, school canteens and social canteen services.
  • Other catering services in training centres and workplaces.
  • Catering services at fuel supply establishments or loading and unloading centres, or vendors of prepared food.

Visits to residential care homes for older people are also suspended, as are in-person congresses, conferences, business meetings, professional meetings, seminars, residents’ association meetings and similar events.

In-person public shows, recreational and cultural activities are suspended. Gambling establishments are also affected.

Leisure

Museums, cinemas and theatres are closed to the public, as are, in general, all establishments or activities whose purpose is entertainment, leisure, recreation or amusement. Activities and their recording for broadcast by audiovisual media will be permitted.

Likewise, peñas, gastronomic, cultural and recreational associations and similar establishments must close, except those with a charitable purpose.

Training

In-person exams for selection procedures of the Andalusian Regional Government administration are also postponed.

In grades 1 and 2 of this level, in-person activity will continue in all vocational training centres, conservatoires, language schools, academies, adult continuing education centres and other similar centres.

The order also sets occupancy limits on public transport and requires a minimum frequency of services to be regulated.

MASS SCREENING TAKES PLACE IN SABINILLAS TOMORROW

This new operation will take place in the Plaza de los Maestros de Sabinillas on Wednesday 27 January. A mobile unit from the Andalusian Regional Government will travel to the location.

Up to 500 people are being summoned by text message. The Andalusian Regional Government itself will select them from among those assigned to the Sabinillas and Manilva health centres, which represents almost 3% of the current population. The test will be an antigen test, free of charge and voluntary, and results will be provided after approximately 15 minutes. The mayor has called for responsibility and asks everyone who is summoned to attend and take the test so that the figures in our town can be contained.

This newsroom has produced a graph showing total positive cases since the start of the pandemic, the details for the last 14 days and recoveries, which we update from Monday to Friday and have included in our «Coronavirus special.»
