On 1 August, a council meeting will be held at Manilva Town Hall at which it is intended to approve an amendment to the municipal bylaw regulating the taxi service, following a request, agreed by consensus according to the document, on behalf of the Asociación de taxistas de Manilva.
According to information obtained by this newsroom, this request for an amendment has not been fully agreed by consensus. Today, a good part of this sector submitted a document through the Town Hall’s own registry office, by means of a general application (DIR3 L01290688 SIA 795013), requesting the withdrawal of this item from the next council meeting. They argue that nothing has been agreed with them and that they were unaware of the document submitted on their behalf.
This request to withdraw the item from the next council meeting is signed by 20 of the 28 drivers currently working, and they also ask for the situation to be studied more thoroughly and for dialogue with the whole sector and not just a part of it.
