The Environment department of Manilva Town Hall has been working since the start of this week on resurfacing the Senda Litoral (coastal path) in the area of the Reserva Ecológica.
According to the councillor responsible for this area, Laura López, the work is much needed following the damage caused by the storms, which badly deteriorated this busy stretch.
The Environment councillor visited the site to check progress on the work, together with the head of Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez.
The work, which began on Tuesday, involves repairing the surface by laying a layer of crushed stone fill. The section being worked on covers around nine hundred metres, from the El Garito de Juan establishment to the Martagina stream.
As López explained, the work will be finished by this Friday, so residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the Senda Litoral, whether walking or exercising, during this Holy Week.
These improvements complete all the sections that will link our coastline, with only the last stretch remaining within the Senda Litoral project.
The councillor encouraged people to enjoy this spectacular path over the coming days.
