The Parks and Gardens department continues to improve the various outdoor leisure facilities in our municipality. On this occasion, we are talking specifically about the La Duquesa children’s playground, next to the green corridor.
As well as the Parks and Gardens councillor, Francisco Becerra, the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and councillor Manolo Gil also came to see how the work is progressing.
According to Becerra, the aim is simply for our green spaces, children’s playgrounds and outdoor fitness areas to be in the best possible condition for residents to enjoy.
This play area is undergoing a complete refurbishment, with the special rubber flooring being replaced, which also brings new children’s attractions, as well as the addition of a giant chess board to the area.
La Duquesa Park will be ready for our children to enjoy next week, as will the one at the Castillo, where the finishing touches are also being put in place.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, congratulated the head of Parks and Gardens for his commitment to the area he runs and for making the complete refurbishment of all the facilities a reality, so that they can be enjoyed without any risk.
The same work has already been carried out at most of the recreational facilities across our municipality. The work is part of the Agricultural Employment Promotion Programme (Pfea), formerly known as the PER.
Municipal officials encourage residents to enjoy all of these leisure areas, which comply with all approval standards as far as safety is concerned.
