The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, is in constant contact with the Andalusian Regional Government’s health delegate in Málaga, Carlos Bautista, to obtain first-hand information on all the details of the pandemic.
In this case, regarding the second mass screening to be carried out tomorrow, Wednesday, in the plaza de Los Maestros in Sabinillas, Bautista has passed on some necessary recommendations to be taken into account both by those notified by text message to have a PCR test and by the public in general.
For the day to be well coordinated and organised, the following should be borne in mind:
- The list has been drawn up by the Junta de Andalucía, so the criteria belong to that supra-municipal body.
- The test cannot be given to anyone who has not received the text message.
- The message cannot be passed on to anyone else, as it is personal and non-transferable.
- People are asked to be punctual for the time slot they have been given and not to arrive too far in advance, to avoid crowding.
- Attendees must wear a face mask and comply with the regulations in force.
- Anyone who has tested positive in the days before their text message appointment should not attend for the test.
- Anyone who has not been given an appointment should avoid passing through the area, to make the work of the medical staff easier and to prevent the place from becoming overcrowded.
To ensure everything is perfectly organised, the Town Hall has set up the plaza de Los Maestros, as it has the width of the seafront promenade, so there should be no crowding.
Both the Junta and the Town Hall itself urge people to attend their appointment, as this mass screening could be a major step forward in controlling the pandemic in our town.
