The Diputación Provincial de Málaga (Málaga Provincial Council) has handed over equipment to Protección Civil Manilva to improve safety in its operations in the municipality.

The equipment ensures that prevention and assistance services are delivered properly, while also helping to protect the safety of Civil Protection’s municipal volunteers in accidents or emergency situations.

The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, who thanks all the contributions from bodies above municipal level, once again took the opportunity to highlight the good work carried out by the volunteers of Protección Civil Manilva and their willingness to be present at everything that improves residents’ quality of life, and also to act in the event of setbacks, accidents or unforeseen situations.

They have been supplied with the following equipment and signalling and safety items: face masks, nitrile gloves, barrier tape, digital thermometers, 2.10-metre extendable barriers, backpack sprayers, large containers of hand sanitiser gel, traffic cones, stabiliser bars, solar beacons, signalling paddles, rechargeable torches, V-16 emergency lights and signalling materials.

This year, the Provincial Council will increase the funding.
