Today we bring you up to date on everything planned for the magical night of San Juan, which, as you know, is one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the season in our municipality.
According to councillor Daniel Muñoz, local artist Juan Oliva and his team will have the figure fully installed between today and tomorrow. It will be burned on the night of Thursday 23 June on Sabinillas beach, near the Cali.
This is the first official event that the Fiestas department is holding to start the summer events.
As for the planned programme, from 20:00, children who gather in the Cali square will have children’s entertainment for their enjoyment.
At the same time, a parade will set off and travel along Duquesa de Arcos and the Paseo Marítimo in Sabinillas. At around 21:00, the municipal authorities will raise the Blue Flag on Sabinillas beach.
From 22:30, all attendees will be able to enjoy music from Alejandro Ocaña DJ.
At 23:45, the municipal authorities will give their greeting, and at 00:00 the burning of the San Juan figure will begin. Immediately afterwards, accompanying the fire, the long-awaited firework display will start.
From 00:30 and until the early hours of the morning, the Orquesta «La Tentación» and Alejandro Ocaña DJ will put their talent and skill to work for the entertainment of those present.
Daniel Muñoz has invited residents and visitors to come to the much-anticipated night of San Juan, where, in addition to everything programmed by his department, there will be a number of bars and food options from local businesses.
