The Asociación Fotográfica 35 mm, in collaboration with the Culture department, has launched a competition to mark Holy Week in Manilva.
Anyone aged 18 or over, with the exception of members of the jury, may submit a photograph, which must have been taken in the town.
The organisers reserve the right to accept or reject entries depending on whether they fit the theme and meet minimum technical quality criteria.
Each participant may submit a maximum of two photos by email to 35mmaf@gmail.com before 23:59 on 18 April. Personal details must be included: name, telephone number, email address, etc. The photographs must also be submitted in jpg format, measuring 40 cm on the longer side and with a resolution of 300 ppi, in sRGB.
The images submitted must not have been previously published in magazines, newspapers or printed or online books. Nor may they have won any other photography prize. The works submitted must NOT be manipulated; developing and light editing are permitted, but adding or altering objects, people, etc. in the photograph itself is not allowed. The works selected as finalists will be shown at a public presentation on 20 April at 19:00.
The jury will be made up of one representative of the Culture department of Manilva Town Hall, one from the Cofradía de Manilva and one from the Asociación Fotográfica 35MM.
The prizes will be presented during the opening of the presentation of the participants’ photographs.
During the voting phase, the photographs submitted may be used on the organisers’ various platforms for the sole purpose of promoting the participatory phase of the competition.
The Asociación 35 mm de Manilva reserves the (non-exclusive) right to reproduce on its own informational and promotional materials, and to freely exhibit, any of the finalist images, as well as all those that have won any of the prizes. In no case will they be passed on to third parties, except with the express authorisation of the author. Participants are responsible for ensuring that no third-party rights exist over their works. The organisers, for their part, undertake to credit the author’s name every time their image is reproduced.
A first prize of 150 euros, a second prize of 100 euros and a third prize of 50 euros will be awarded.
