Calle Mar in Manilva will host the traditional Noches de Embrujo this Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August, a cultural and festive event organised by the Town Hall’s Tourism department, headed by Agustín Vargas, with the collaboration of the Culture department.
Although the Mercado de los Cuentos (storytelling market) was initially due to be set up, the organisers have announced that this activity has been suspended because of the strong westerly wind, which makes it impossible to guarantee the safety of the craft stalls.
Despite this setback, the programme still includes attractive events for residents and visitors.
The evening of Friday 29 will begin at 22:00 with a performance by the Cuadro Flamenco de Antonio de Verónica and Saray Cortés, who will present the show «La vida es breve». From midnight, it will be the turn of electronic music with the well-known DJ Alba Dreid, who returns to the town to liven up an evening that will continue well into the early hours with other DJs taking part.
For its part, Saturday 30 brings one of the main new features of this edition: the I Concurso de Fandangos Villa de Manilva (1st Villa de Manilva Fandango Competition), which will start at 20:30 and will have a total of 19 participants, highlighting the importance of flamenco in local culture.
