The El Goleto Park is a place in the municipality where effort and financial resources have been invested in recent times, in order to have this recreational area in the best possible condition.

Following the latest works carried out there, consisting of a perimeter wall with a design in keeping with its surroundings, together with fencing and a gate for access, the park is now open to everyone.

The work was coordinated by the Parks and Gardens department, headed by Francisco Becerra. It was funded through the PFEA plan and carried out with workers from the agricultural sector and the SAE, and has helped to keep improving this part of the municipality, with the collaboration of several municipal departments. The Sports department has restored the padel court inside the park, which can be booked at the department itself.

As for Works and Infrastructure, headed by Diego José Jiménez, work has been carried out on all the irrigation and electricity connections and the remaining inspection chambers. Together with the work on the play area, with new flooring, painting and repairs, this makes the green space an idyllic place to enjoy with the family.

According to Becerra, the plan is to restore to the park soon the wooden pergola that was lost in the last fire, as well as the basketball court and the mini golf area.

The councillor for Infrastructure and Works was very pleased with the good work done and explained that coordination between the different departments has been essential.

Mayor Mario Jiménez, who has closely followed this transformation, wished to thank those involved for their work and to invite residents and tourists to visit the park.

Those who have not yet had the chance to see this restored part of the municipality can find it in the north of Los Hidalgos, in the direction of the Manilva Sun hotel, where they will find this refreshing spot whose trees, gardens and lake will appeal to everyone.
