The Social Welfare and Employment Promotion departments of Manilva Town Hall, headed by Paqui López and Marcos Ruiz, yesterday presented a new training programme called «Get started and make it your profession«, aimed at young people aged between 16 and 19.

Two courses have been set up. The first is a beauty course on introduction to acrylic nails with Fina Gómez, which will be held at this local businesswoman’s academy in Manilva village, from 24 to 27 February, from 16:00 to 20:00. The second is an introductory course on sound and lighting, offered by the local company Muled Sound at the Polígono La Dehesilla industrial estate, from 7 to 11 February, from 9:30 to 13:30.

This is what the Social Welfare councillor, Paqui López, told us. She explained that initiatives of this kind aim to give young people who have left school a motivation to enter the job market.
For his part, the Employment Promotion councillor, Marcos Ruiz, said that these courses give younger people a boost towards a career and the chance to progress.

Registration can be made at the Usos Múltiples building or at the Sabinillas Training Centre. Please note that places are limited and those interested must pay a deposit of 20 € at the time of registration, which will be returned once they complete the course satisfactorily.
