The councillor for the environment department, Laura López, has visited the Reserva Ecológica playas de Manilva, where yesterday staff from the provincial council (Diputación) installed 4 identification signs explaining the different species of flora found in this privileged corner of the Costa del Sol.
This action is part of the information campaign being rolled out along the Senda Litoral coastal path between Manilva and Nerja, where a total of 42 signs will be installed.
In Manilva, the signs have been placed in the areas where the most significant species of flora of this protected coastal zone are found. The signs describe the following species: Melosa (Ononis Variegata); Armeria (Ameria Hirta); Siempreviva Azul (Limonium Sinuatum) and Papamoscas Marino (Silene Littorea).
As we can see, this area of special environmental interest continues to be looked after, with information provided to the many people who pass through it.
