The councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, visited this morning, together with area director Mari Ángeles Ramos and municipal technician Nuria Marín, the installation work on the sewage network using 315 mm PVC pipe, in the area between the municipal football pitch and the «Las Viñas» housing development.
This work resolves one of the major problems in this part of the municipality. The councillor explained that, besides serving a municipal facility such as the football pitch, many families in the aforementioned development will benefit from the project, as until now they had to bear the maintenance costs of their own pumping station, which discharged into the upper area where networks of this type do exist.
Once this work is completed, in approximately one week, residents will no longer have to pay that surcharge and the constant problems with blockages will also be resolved. This was explained by the councillor.
Although these are sometimes small projects in the town, they are very important for local residents.
