Municipal swimming pool closed for 24 hours for health reasons

Manilva Town Hall responded promptly after traces of faecal matter were detected in the water, which poses a risk to public health. In view of the situation, the decision has been taken to close the facilities temporarily so that the necessary corrective measures can be carried out. These include a water filtering and purification process, with the aim of guaranteeing optimal water quality.

Maintenance staff are already working on implementing the required measures, and a lifeguard has been stationed at the pool at all times to provide information and guidance to users affected by the situation.

The safety and health of users of the municipal swimming pool is a priority for Manilva Town Hall and, given the circumstances, a rigorous cleaning and disinfection process will be followed, along with thorough testing to ensure that the water meets the required health and quality standards.

Once the corrective measures have been completed and the safety of the pool water is guaranteed, the facilities will reopen to the public.
The Town Hall thanks users for their understanding and cooperation while work is under way to resolve this inconvenience and restore the municipal swimming pool to full operation 24 hours later.
