This morning a firm step has been taken to improve security in the municipality, which will see its Local Police force expanded with three new officers. Coinciding with the publication of the budget staffing plan for next year, the governing team has approved the creation of three new Local Police posts, a measure that responds to the growing need to reinforce public security.
The Finance councillor, Juan Carlos Morejón, described this action as «an end-of-year gift», highlighting the importance of this expansion for the municipality.
For his part, the mayor of Manilva and Public Security councillor, José Manuel Fernández, expressed his satisfaction at the fulfilment of one of the governing team’s key commitments. Fernández also highlighted the importance of the agreement reached with VOX for his investiture, which included expanding the Local Police force.
The mayor also said that the effort does not end here. «We will continue working to expand the Local Police force even further and to ensure that the Guardia Civil increases its presence in the municipality,» he said, making clear that security will remain a priority during this term of office.
With the approval of this measure, a process begins that will culminate in the recruitment of three new officers, strengthening public security and guaranteeing a greater police presence on the streets of the municipality.
