Everything is ready for one of the most traditional events, the Romería de Manilva (a traditional pilgrimage festival), which will be held this weekend, 7 and 8 June, in the natural setting of the Ermita de los Baños de la Hedionda.
Organised by the Culture department, headed by Eva Galindo, and in collaboration with the Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores y Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, the romería will include a wide programme of religious, cultural and festive activities.
📅 Programme of activities:
SATURDAY 7 JUNE
- 10:30: Holy Mass and blessing of the pilgrims at the Iglesia de Santa Ana.
Afterwards, the image of Our Lady of Fátima will be taken to the Ermita San Adolfo, accompanied by the Peña Caballista de Manilva and the Club senderista Los Kruos, with the traditional floral offering.
Performance by the EMMDAT Dance School.
- 15:30: Performance by Jéssica Quiñones’ Escuela de Baile de Expresión Corporal.
- 16:00: First set by the group «En su Punto».
- 17:00: Election of the Queens and Ladies of Santa Ana 2025.
- 18:00: Second set by the group «En su Punto».
- 19:30: Performance by the group «Compás Flamenco».
And until the early hours: DJ Pablo Drza.
Free tasting of the traditional sopa campera (country soup) at midday.
SUNDAY 8 JUNE
- 13:00: Romería Holy Mass in honour of Our Lady of Fátima, sung by the EMMDAT Choir.
- 15:00: Live music with the group «En su Punto».
On both days, visitors can enjoy paella, tortas fritas with chocolate and a bar service in aid of the Cofradía.
