Andalucía enters a new and tough phase of restrictions. The president of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, appeared on Friday to announce the measures agreed with the expert committee with the aim of combating the third wave in the region. Moreno announced that mobility between provinces is suspended and that municipalities in the region with a cumulative 14-day rate of more than 500 cases are to be placed under perimeter lockdown. In addition, the Junta is closing bars and non-essential businesses in those towns with a rate above 1,000 infections.

In the rest of Andalucía, the closing time for non-essential businesses is brought forward to 18:00. Meetings, meanwhile, are limited to four people.

Moreno also added that the Junta de Andalucía has asked the Government to bring the curfew forward from 22:00 to 20:00 and for the power to decree perimeter lockdowns «wherever necessary. Without that power,» he added, «it is not possible to have a single command.»

These restrictions will come into force at 00:00 next Sunday.

According to the latest data, Manilva has an active incidence rate of 637.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, so next Sunday the municipality will once again be closed perimetrally and it will not be possible to enter or leave it without a justified reason. Businesses will have to close at 18:00, including hospitality venues, and meetings and groups are reduced to 4 people, including in hospitality.

Therefore, from Sunday at 0:00, Manilva will have:

  • Perimeter closure (it will not be possible to enter or leave Manilva without a justified reason)
  • Closure of non-essential businesses at 18:00
  • Groups and meetings reduced to 4 people
