Organised by the Foreign Residents department, led by councillor Laura López, together with the Asociación Be Yourself, the 2023 edition of Manilva Pride returns on 9, 10 and 11 June.
It is a fun event that will fill the streets of our municipality with colour, especially in Puerto de la Duquesa.
The aim of this annual event is to build a world where every person is accepted, recognised and empowered for who they are, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Every day there is a fight to promote and defend the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, to promote equality and diversity, and to offer training and support to individuals and communities around the world.
We must not forget that we all have the right to live our lives with dignity, consideration and love, hence the commitment to making this a reality.
To make this clear in a special way, and one in which we can all take part, as every year, everyone is invited to enjoy these very special days, which will include various performances in Puerto de la Duquesa, as well as the traditional pride parade, which will go through the streets of our town, so that we can show that we live in a town without prejudice where everyone is welcome.
Soon we will find out the full programme of activities for these days, in a Manilva Pride that will no doubt dazzle once again, as in previous editions.
