The tourism and youth departments of Manilva Town Hall are already preparing the Sabi Scooter Day, together with the local association Sabi Scooter.
This event will be held on 14 May and will bring visitors from all over Spain to the municipality, thanks to the national Scooter and Lambretta meeting.
On that day, participants will give a display of their motorbikes, ride through the different areas of the municipality and enjoy live music and a lively atmosphere on the stage in Plaza de Los Maestros in Sabinillas, where the official presentation of the event took place a few days ago.
Eva Galindo expressed her great satisfaction with this type of initiative, which brings tourism to our town and is also a very attractive activity for residents.
For his part, the youth councillor, Daniel Muñoz, thanked Alejandro Orea, a local resident and vice-president of the Club Lambretta de España, for his interest in organising this event. It was Orea who presented the idea to the municipal officials, who wasted no time in finding a way to make it happen.
Muñoz thanked this resident for his interest and welcomed the chance to launch new initiatives which, in this post-pandemic era, will gradually take us back to normality, albeit with the caution the current situation requires.
Alejandro Orea, for his part, thanked the Town Hall for its collaboration and said that more than 100 scooters will gather in our town. That day, a morning route will set off from the petrol station in Sabinillas, pass through Manilva and Casares, and go through Puerto de la Duquesa and the Castillo. From 15:00, participants will meet in Plaza de los Maestros in Sabinillas, with live music and DJs from all over Spain, as well as three bands from Seville and Madrid. Orea explained this to our microphones.
So, all of us residents will be able to enjoy these iconic motorbikes, which will travel around our town and be seen in all of its areas.
