The Statistics Service of the Andalusian Regional Government’s Department of Health and Families has published figures on the number of people with a complete COVID-19 vaccination schedule and the coverage percentage by age group in our municipality, where the figure stands at 65.9% of the population, compared with an Andalusian average of 80.4% and a Spanish average of 79.2%.
Among the age groups, those aged 30 to 39 have the lowest vaccination rate, at 61.8%.
The statistics show the number of people who have received full vaccination according to the schedule set for each type of vaccine, as well as the coverage percentage for each age group by municipality of residence.
Clarifications on the complete schedule:
– With the Janssen vaccine: 1 dose is considered a complete schedule, according to the current technical data sheet.
– People aged 65 or under with a history of COVID-19 infection (except people living in care homes, people with severe dependency or those at very high risk): 1 dose is considered a complete schedule, according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy.
Coverage is calculated using the official INE (National Statistics Institute) population as of 1 January 2020, the latest available. Coverage may exceed 100% in some age groups, as the population eligible for vaccination has increased since that date.
For people not resident in Andalusia, the municipality and province where the vaccination took place are assigned.
