We start the week with the good news that the whole commercial sector has been waiting for. Manilva falls below 1,000 in active incidence, which is the limit set by the Junta de Andalucía for closing non-essential commercial activity. If the incidence remains below this limit, next Thursday the territorial committee for High-Impact Public Health Alerts could ease the restrictions for the municipality and therefore, shops could reopen their doors by next Saturday 13th.
The Regional Ministry of Health and Families, in collaboration with the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia, has published today’s figures for Monday 8 February, showing 35 new positive cases and 55 recoveries. As a result, the number of active cases over the last 14 days falls to 153 and the active incidence rate over the last 14 days drops from 1,052.4 to 930.7 (cases per 100,000 inhabitants). The total number of confirmed cases in Manilva since the start of the pandemic now stands at 748 people and 11 deaths.
As for the cumulative incidence over the last 7 days, it falls from 340.65 to 322.4 (positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
