A Local Police operation, among the many duties they carry out in the municipality, will be on alert and keeping watch in order to monitor and fine those establishments or individuals who ignore cleanliness regulations.
Carried out at various times of day and at random, at waste collection points, officers will fine those who breach very basic rules: not leaving disposable items that belong at the recycling centre, and not leaving bags outside the bin.
The operation took place in Puerto de la Duquesa last night and in the early hours, and those who were not using the bins properly were fined.
Both the mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the Cleaning department councillor, Paqui López, appeal to everyone’s sense of responsibility and civic-mindedness to help maintain a good image and avoid fines.
