This Thursday 24 August at 19:00, get ready for an exciting day on the waters of our coast with the «La Chancla» Paddle Surf Popular Race. This event, organised by the Sports department under the direction of Rogelio Pascual together with the Club Paddle Surf Manilva, is an opportunity for all paddle surf enthusiasts and anyone who wants to enjoy an afternoon of fun with their board on the sea. Canal Sur will broadcast a live link-up from the event.
The Club Paddle Surf de Manilva is joining this initiative, demonstrating its commitment to promoting the sport. The club’s president, Antonio Domínguez, stresses that «La Chancla» is open to participants of all ages and ability levels, from the youngest, aged 8 and over. The action will begin at 19:00 on the Noria beach in Sabinillas.
Signing up for this race is very straightforward. Those interested can send a WhatsApp message to the telephone number 613 74 91 65, giving the participant’s name and age, or they can register on the day of the event from 18:00.
There will be routes suitable for both the youngest participants and adults, ensuring that everyone enjoys a pleasant paddle surf experience. Participants are advised to bring their own board, and life jackets are required for children.
This race not only promotes the practice of paddle surfing but will also serve as a warm-up for the upcoming Popular Race in the Andalusia circuit on 10 September. Those interested in taking part in this competition can already register through the website www.dorsalchip.es before 8 September.
