The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, through the State Roads Authority for Eastern Andalusia and the Directorate-General for Roads and Málaga Roads Unit, has notified Manilva Town Hall of the decision regarding the request for authorisation to install four bus shelters.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for the Infrastructure and Public Works department, Diego José Jiménez, and the councillor for the Vehicle Fleet department, Alba Jiménez, have all received the news with great satisfaction, as the municipal government has always wanted to have as many bus shelters as possible to serve residents.
Municipal officials have repeatedly stated that responsibility, as the attached document shows, has never lain with the Town Hall, and that the approval of the aforementioned Ministry was needed.
There will be four bus shelters located at existing bus stops on the Autovía del Mediterráneo, A-7, as it passes through the municipality, more specifically in the areas of the Club de Golf (Hotel Duquesa), Aldea Hills, Aldea Beach and Playa Paraíso.
It should be remembered that this decision has been possible thanks to the persistence of the governing team and the submission of a feasibility study carried out by municipal technicians.
