At around 4 o’clock this morning a fire broke out inside this well-known Sabinillas restaurant, located on C/ Fenando Pessoa (opposite the entrance to the Sabinillas sports hall). Three fire engines from the Consorcio Provincial de Bomberos de Málaga attended. The high temperatures inside the premises made it somewhat harder to put out the fire. The source appears initially to have been in the kitchen, pending the expert’s report.
The owners, speaking to this newsroom, said they were relieved that there were no injuries. Although it had been a difficult year because of the restrictions on the hospitality industry, the summer had been helping their recovery, and they deeply regretted this new setback, which will force them to stay closed for a few days.
