Early this morning a fire broke out in a bar on the Sabinillas seafront promenade, forcing three homes to be evacuated as a precaution. According to the Emergencias 112 Andalucía service, the fire caused no injuries.
Several calls received from shortly before 01:15 reported smoke and flames at the bar in Sabinillas, which was closed at the time, but had several homes above it into which smoke was spreading.
The Consorcio Provincial fire service and the Local Police were sent to the scene immediately.
After the operation, firefighters confirmed that residents of three homes were evacuated as a precaution and that, once the properties had been ventilated, they were able to return.
Unfortunately, the premises were completely affected, with considerable damage.
