The Local Police have fined the owner of several dogs that were escaping from his property and caused the death of one of the ducks in El Goleto park. The incident took place last Monday, when residents saw these animals next to one of the ducks, which lay lifeless on the grass, unable to do anything about it.
Thanks to the information provided by residents, which proved essential to the investigation, Local Police officers were able to carry out the relevant checks and establish where the animals came from. Once the owner had been identified, a fine was processed for allowing his dogs to roam without proper supervision and cause harm to the park’s wildlife.
The fine will not be the only consequence for the owner of the animals. As police sources have reported, the owner must also replace the duck that was killed in the attack by his animals. This measure seeks to make up for the damage caused to the biodiversity of El Goleto park, a space of great ecological value for the town.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible pet ownership and of the obligation to comply with the regulations governing the movement of animals in public spaces. Once again, public cooperation has proved to be a crucial tool for guaranteeing safety and respect for the environment in our municipality.
