Two important council meetings were held today, the highlights of which were the approval and drawing up of the consolidated budget for 2022. It is one of the most important items of the term of office, as this is a fundamental tool for the running and growth of the town of Manilva.
The governing team has worked hard on this budget, which will give the town council economic stability for the future. It was approved by the governing team, with IU abstaining.
As a consequence, the budget modification also approved today will allow for a resurfacing plan and for grant support to businesses on the seafront promenade, in addition to aid for the self-employed, including traders who have made their views known at the council meeting.
On urban planning, the approval of the special plan for the Colonia infantil stands out, which would mean urban growth in this important area of our municipality.
Finally, the item proposed by the opposition on urgently starting a study into bringing the drinking water supply and sewerage service under municipal control was rejected by the votes against of the governing team.
