Improving the quality of life of residents is the main aim of the governing team and, in this case, of the mayor, Mario Jiménez, who, following an important meeting held in recent weeks with a Correos representative for the area, has secured a very considerable improvement in the service provided at the post office in the Manilva town centre.
Although improving waiting times and staffing at the Sabinillas office was also discussed, so that it can work with greater speed and efficiency, in Manilva notable progress has already been made in this respect.
Correos has introduced new portable devices for the delivery service, which help to extend the services of post offices in rural areas.
These devices also include a pioneering technological improvement that allows postal workers to carry out the following functions:
– Payment for their services in cash and by credit card.
– Payment of telecommunications bills, utilities, insurance, etc.
– Immediate sending of the receipt to the user’s email address.
In addition, users can still buy packaging suited to the items they are sending.
These new services will also reduce the number of users at the Sabinillas office, as they will be able to carry out their business in Manilva.
For more information, you can speak to your postman during normal office hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 10:30, at Avda Álvarez Leiva, 9.
