Following yesterday’s meeting of the health alert committee, it has been decided to extend the closure of non-essential businesses for a further 14 days, starting at 00:00 tonight, as the active incidence rate remains above 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. As a result, Manilva will continue under the same restrictions of level 4, grade 2 that the municipality has been under for 7 days, and which are causing some businesses to close for good because they cannot meet the costs of running any activity.
LEVEL 4 GRADE 2 RESTRICTIONS
These are some of the measures that came into force in Manilva on Wednesday 27 January and which will remain in place for the time being until at least 17 February, if the active incidence rate in the town falls:
Large commercial establishments may not open. The exceptions to the closure of businesses are retail food outlets, drinks, essential products and goods, health centres, services and establishments, social and social-healthcare services, parapharmacies, veterinary centres or clinics, food markets and hygiene products.
Professional and financial services, newspapers, bookshops and stationers, florists, fuel, mechanics’ workshops, repair services and construction materials, hardware shops, vehicle inspection (ITV) stations, tobacconists, technology and telecommunications equipment, pet food, home delivery services, dry cleaners, laundrettes and hairdressers may also open, as may these same market activities when carried out outdoors on the public highway or as non-permanent street trading, commonly known as street markets.
Sport
The opening to the public of conventional sports facilities and sports centres for physical activity that is not outdoors is suspended, except for official professional or non-professional sporting activity.
In addition, non-federated sports competitions and events of any age category are temporarily suspended, as are federated ones, except for age categories from 16 years up to senior level.
Catering
All catering activities are suspended, with the following exceptions:
- Home delivery services.
- Restaurants in tourist accommodation establishments.
- Catering services within health, social-healthcare and social centres and services, school canteens and canteen services of a social nature.
- Other catering services in training centres and workplaces.
- Catering services at fuel supply establishments or loading and unloading centres, or vending outlets for prepared food.
Visits to residential care homes for older people are also suspended, as is the holding of in-person congresses, conferences, business meetings, professional meetings, seminars, residents’ association meetings and similar events.
In-person public shows, recreational and cultural activities are suspended. Gambling establishments are also closed.
Leisure
The opening to the public of museums, cinemas, theatres and, in general, all establishments or activities whose purpose is recreation, leisure or entertainment is suspended. Activities and their recording for broadcast by audiovisual media will be permitted.
Likewise, the opening of peñas, gastronomic, cultural and recreational associations or similar establishments is suspended, except for those with a charitable purpose.
Training
In-person exams for selection procedures of the Junta de Andalucía administration are also postponed.
In grades 1 and 2 of this level, in-person activity will continue in all vocational training centres, conservatoires, language schools, academies, adult continuing education centres and other similar centres.
The order also sets occupancy limits on public transport and requires a minimum frequency of services to be ensured.
